Information about accessing the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History.
Parking
Accessible parking spaces for visitors who have a mobility impairment and the required permit are available in the main Museum carpark. Coaches are welcome to park closer to the Museum while guests depart, before parking at the rear of the carpark.
Bring your own or use one of ours. We suggest booking 24 hours in advance, phone +61 7 4657 0078, with pick up from the Reception Centre.
The Reception Centre and Dinosaur Canyon are accessible by wheelchair and fitted with ramp access. The Fossil Preparation Laboratory is all level and accessible. The Museum walking track is flat and gravelled but could prove difficult to move over without assistance. Driving between buildings is recommended.
Toilets
Unisex accessible toilets, baby change tables and an ambulant toilet are available at the Reception Centre and Dinosaur Canyon Outpost.
Braille, large print and tactile guide versions of the Discovery Guide and Map for adults and children are available at the Reception Centre. Additionally, the guide includes a link to the Museum's free audio guide. Tour Guides across the Museum are equipped with microphone packs. For the March of the Titanosaurs exhibition, where reverberation can cause issues, visitors are welcome to use either the speaker system on the side of the railing or the assistive listening device headphones.
Trained, registered and visibly identified assistance animals are welcome when accompanied by their handler.
